The construction of Northeast Recycled Paper Ecological Industrial Park in Harbin, China, began in April, Forestweb reports.
On Sept. 26, the center's site was established at Harbin National Environmental Protection Industrial Park in the Acheng Economic Development Zone.
Preliminary work, including planning, feasibility design and the initial environmental assessment, has been completed. The construction of the core area, and phase one for the sewage treatment facility was to begin by the end of April.
The project has two phases. In phase one, 600,000 tonnes of paper and paperboard will be produced and by 2012 construction of the second phase will be finished, resulting in a total paper and paperboard production capacity of 1 million tonnes/year. |
